Immigration Law

Here in the pages to follow are the stories of immigrants who still yearn and dream about coming to America to live the American dream.  The hardship of coming and being sustained in America by those that have come and those that are here, especially as an undocumented immigrant, is exacerbated  by a broken immigration system, the politics of how to fix it, and what to do with undocumented immigrants now that they are here. However, being the greatest and most blessed nation on earth by God brings with it a moral responsibility to open our arms in knowledge and faith to others whose legitimate desire is to have a better life, especially those who suffer oppression and yearn to be free!  Some of these people may not be the "best and the brightest" but end up to be the "best and the brightest" once they are here.  Many of them risk everything to come here because America is a treasure to them, a country to cherish and contribute to, not to destroy.  Surely if we believe the words imprinted on American dollars "In God We Trust," we would "trust" and not shrink in fear to refuse such people that God providentially raised this nation up to welcome into His manifold blessings upon us.  In point of fact Leviticus 19:33-34 reflects this which is why He commanded Israel  "And if a stranger dwells with you in your land, you shall not mistreat him.   The stranger that dwells with you shall be to you as one born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt; I am the Lord your God.

It is our purpose in posting these stories to create an awareness of how great our need is for immigration reform now!   We also hope that these personal testimonies will awaken the compassions of Americans toward the plight of immigrants under the present system  and cause us to renew our support for the immigrant as we once did when those famous words were inscribed on Statue of Liberty.  If you have a story that you would like to share even anonymously, just contact us through our website or at immigrationfjf@gmail.com and we would be happy to review it for posting.
